Manchester researchers develop first ever guideline for cancer screening in rare muscle disease
Researchers from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and University of Manchester have been instrumental in developing the first guideline for cancer screening in an inflammatory muscle disease called “myositis”, which has an increased cancer risk.

Dr Kelechi Njoku awarded the first Eve Appeal Fellowship
The Eve Appeal and North West Cancer Research have announced that they are funding Dr Kelechi Njoku, a senior clinical oncology specialty registrar and academic clinical lecturer from The University of Manchester, to develop a new, kinder, test to diagnose womb cancer.
