Helen Adderley

Clinical Fellow

Helen is a Clinical Fellow in the Thoracic Oncology Team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, on a mission to decode the nuances of KRAS mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). She is currently completing her PhD, investigating the distinct traits between KRAS Codon 12 and the rarer Codon 13 mutations, with the goal of pinpointing therapeutic vulnerabilities for more effective cancer treatments.

Her journey began at The University of Liverpool in 2012, and through rotations in Mersey and Manchester, she discovered a profound fascination for the intersection of basic and translational research in oncology.

Collaborating globally and with pharmaceutical leaders, she is committed to unravelling the complexities of KRAS mutations, contributing to personalized medicine, and making tangible strides in improving patient outcomes. Her work is a testament to the transformative potential when clinical insights meet cutting-edge translational research.
